Since 2013, he has focused exclusively on the evolution of intelligent technology. He founded one of the world's first niche recruiters dedicated to Big Data, and has evolved his practice alongside the technology itself – moving from the early days of Hadoop Data Engineering, through the Machine Learning revolution, to the current Generative AI era.

His expertise lies in identifying 'Day Zero' talent for startups that become industry titans, including Apprente (acquired by IBM Watson) and Headroom (acquired by Upwork).

Today, he partners exclusively with C-Suite executives to secure AI & Machine Learning leadership for ventures that have gone on to secure combined funding in excess of $250M+ and achieve valuations of over $1bn.

After leading Big Cloud Recruitment for a decade, Matt launched Reaney AI to return to hands-on, high-level advisory work, focusing exclusively on the scarcest talent in the market: Artificial Intelligence leadership.
